Northallerton and District Talking Newspaper Association is a registered charity (513544) aiming to alleviate loneliness and isolation amongst our local blind and visually impaired communities.
The charity was established in 1978 and is run entirely by 25 volunteers with the support of generous donations from members of the public, local business and organisations.
Since 1978, 500+ monthly episodes have been produced. Recordings usually take place in our local library where we produce the podcasts containing local news and entertainment features, distributed to our listeners across North Yorkshire areas.
Given the recent pandemic events, recordings have been taking place online using a variety of modern technologies. This has ensured continued delivery of an invaluable service for local visually impaired community.
